Overcome Anxiety

Overcoming Anxiety

It’s so easy to let anxiety get the best of us, and convince us to either not pursue our goals or quit before we’ve accomplished them. It’s so easy to tell ourselves that we’re going to fail. That we’re never going to get what we want or that person will never want to talk to us, that we convince ourselves to not even try.

That’s one of my biggest problems. Overcoming anxiety and a deep-rooted fear of failing. If I don’t try, then I can’t fail. If my goal seems too grand to carry out, why even bother? But all that’s going to do is keep me stuck right where I am, never moving forward, never getting better, never realizing my dreams.

You will never grow if you keep listening to the voices in your head that tell you that you can’t. Tell those voices that they’re just afraid and the only way to stop being afraid is to go out and try to accomplish your dreams. And if you stumble or fall, just pick yourself back up and try again.

Here is your weekly motivation:

Overcome Anxiety

Is there something you can do now that you once thought you couldn’t? Is there something you wish you could do but have been too afraid to try? I would love to hear about it in the comments below.

  1. Fear of failing has held me back in the past but I’m learning to get past that now.

I think that’s great. I know getting past that fear is not an easy thing to do.

  2. Thank you for such a great reminder. I am currently dealing with depression and was contemplating on taking a break from blogging and socializing with people. However, I know that if I do that (again) I will just prolong my stay in a situation I have the power to move away from. Thank you for this as it served as an extra push and lets me know I am headed the right way.

Wish you an amazing week. 🙂

I’m so glad it was helpful. I know how hard it is to overcome anxiety and depression, and I wish you all the best.

  3. I’m suffering from anxiety and fear of failing. It’s preventing me from doing so many fun things, but I’m working hard to get better!

    1. Aurora James says:

I know exactly how you feel. Anxiety has kept me from doing a lot of things in life, as well as staying in a job long after I knew it was time to move on. Every opportunity is a new chance to overcome anxiety and take a risk.
